Edgebanding adhesives come in a variety of forms, including pre-glued, iron-on, hot air, hot melt, and laser options.

Pre-glued edgebanding has hot melt adhesive on one side, which adheres securely to the substrate when heated.

Iron-on edgebanding requires a household iron or heat gun to melt the adhesive so it can bond effectively to the edge.

Hot melt adhesives are favored for larger projects due to their strong bond, quick set-up time, and heat and chemical resistance.

In contrast, laser edgebanding uses the heat of a laser to liquefy the adhesive, creating a seamless bond between the edgebanding and the panel.
