About Edge Banding Technology

Can the edge banding be truly “homogeneous” with my Melamine board?

Absolutely! Luyao’s advantage lies in the substrate matching technology, which can achieve 99.8% similarity. We use decorative paper that is exactly the same as your panel (color number or sample is required), and the laboratory spectrometer detects the color difference ΔE<0.8 (indiscernible to the human eye), and the difference in thermal expansion coefficient is <5%. This is the real “Invisible edge banding”.

What is the price difference of edge bandings of different materials?

First of all, the prices of edge banding of different materials are different. The price ranking is Wood veneer edge banding> Acrylic edge banding> ABS edge banding> PVC edge banding> Melamine edge banding

Will the 0.3mm PMMA ultra-thin edge bandings really not break during trimming?

We understand your concerns! The key lies in the material ratio design:
Surface: Nano-hardened coating (SiO₂ doped), hardness up to 3H, scratch resistance.
Middle layer: Elastic modified PMMA, absorbs cutting vibration.
Base layer: Special glue layer buffers stress.
With our diamond tool parameters (front angle 18°, back angle 15°), the edge breakage rate can be controlled below 0.1%. Free samples are provided for your extreme testing.

About Machine Compatibility

Can your edge banding be adapted to the PUR adhesive system?

Fully compatible and optimized! The backing of our non-glued edgebanding is plasma treated, and the surface dyne value is >50 mN/m. The measured peel strength with PUR adhesive is >50 N/cm. Provide a parameter table of feed tension recommendations for different models.

In the manual edge sealing scenario, will the adhesive (Peel & Stick) product fail in the low temperature environment in winter?

We have overcome this pain point! Luyao’s low-temperature adhesive has a special ratio, and it still maintains an initial adhesion of >15 N/25mm in a -5℃ environment. Use a hot air gun to preheat the edge of the substrate for 3 seconds before operation, and the adhesion can reach 90% of normal temperature. Customers in Northeast China tested no peeling in a -15℃ workshop.

Logistics & Support

Can containers be mixed with edge bandings of different materials? Will they get damp?

Safe and worry-free! We use triple protection:
Inner packaging: Aluminum foil composite moisture-proof film (water vapor transmission rate <0.5 g/m²/day).
Core: Built-in desiccant capsule (visible on humidity indicator card).

As a startup, can the minimum order quantity (MOQ) be less than 3,000 meters?

We are an edge banding factory, with direct sales prices, so our MOQ is 3,000 meters/color, but we can provide samples for you to test. Payment: 30% deposit is supported for the first order, and the goods will be shipped after the final payment is received (third-party inspection or video inspection can be accepted).
