What is EVA hot melt adhesive used for?

EVA(hot melt Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) hot glue is a kind of widely used edge banding glue and furniture glue. It allows for bonding of edge banding (PVC, ABS, melamine, wood veneer) to wood panels such as MDF, particle board or plywood with strong, durable bonds. Our EVA adhesives are specially designed for manual and automatic edge banding machines and feature extremely fast set times of 1-3 seconds giving you the best bonding strength on the line or in your shop.

How long does EVA hot melt adhesive take to set?

Our EVA hot melt adhesives present fast setting times (20-25°C) in the range of 1-3 seconds at room temperature. The fast setting time enables immediate handling and processing of the edge-banded panels, thus greatly enhancing the productivity. The full cure is usually reached in 24 hours with maximal bond strength. For high-speed production lines, our high-temperature grades with the fastest setting properties are recommended.

What is the shelf life of EVA hot melt adhesive?

Under normal storage in a cool, dry place and no direct sunlight, our EVA hot melt adhesive pellets can be kept for 24 months. Temperature of storage should be under 35°C (95°F) with a relative humidity less than 70%. After opening, close the bag tightly to avoid moisture pick up. Do not store near heat or in high or fluctuating temperatures. Correct storage results in stable melting and bonding.

How do I choose between medium and high temperature EVA adhesive?
