What Is PVC Laminated Film?

PVC laminated film is a decorative surface film — typically 0.10 mm to 0.50 mm thick — bonded onto wood-based panels (MDF, particleboard, plywood, HDF) using hot pressing, membrane pressing, or profile wrapping.

How to Choose the Right Grade — A Practical Guide

If you are speccing PVC laminated film for the first time, three questions decide everything:

1. What substrate and what process?

MDF + membrane press → 0.30–0.40 mm, high elongation grade
Particleboard + flat lamination → 0.15–0.25 mm, standard grade
HDF + profile wrapping → 0.18–0.25 mm, wrap grade

2. What end-use environment?

Q: What is the difference between PVC laminated film and PVC edge banding? A: Same family of material, different format. Film is wide-roll (1260–1400 mm) and laminated onto the panel face. Edge banding is narrow-strip (typically 22–45 mm) and applied to the panel edge. LUYAO produces both in matching colors so the face and edge of a finished panel look like one piece.
