Maintenance Tips for Edgebanding Hot Melt Adhesive

To ensure the optimal performance of your edge banding machine, it’s important to follow these maintenance tips. If the machine is not in use for more than two hours, lower the temperature of the glue tank to around 100°C. This practice helps prevent carbonization that can occur at higher temperatures over extended periods and allows for a quick return to the working temperature when the machine is restarted.

Additionally, it is essential to regularly clean the glue tank and glue application rollers. Excessive carbon buildup around the edges of the glue tank and residue on the glue rollers can impair the performance of both the heating system and the glue supply system, potentially affecting the quality of the adhesive application.

If you need to remove any residual glue from the tank, ensure that the glue is heated first. Begin by melting the glue around the edges of the tank, then use a spatula to carefully scrape it away.
