What is PVC edge banding?

A solid banding tape, such as our White Solid Banding Tape, is essentially a strip that covers the exposed edges of furniture. It improves the look of the furniture by smoothing off the edges. Edge banding is applied by connecting a PVC edge band to the raw edges of panels with a thin strip of PVC or resinous material. Luyao provides edge banding with a pre-applied, co-extruded polymer functional layer that substitutes conventional glue, resulting in a stronger bond and flawless junction.

• Thickness: 1.2mm (1mm after application)

Using the most recent laser, hot-air, plasma, or Luyao edgebanders removes the need for adhesive, pot maintenance, and cleanup. Edgebanders that are qualified to run Luyao material do not require any additional modifications, allowing you to produce smooth joins and exceptional finishes fast and effectively. This can dramatically increase your shop’s production and the quality of your produced goods.
