PVC Edgebanding
The workhorse of the furniture industry. 0.4 – 3.0 mm thickness, full color spectrum, matched to Egger, Kronospan and Wilsonart decors. 60% of our output.
ABS Edgebanding
Halogen-free alternative to PVC. Preferred for EU export and eco conscious projects. Higher heat tolerance (90°C), fully recyclable.
Acrylic Edgebanding

How We Make Edgebanding
Raw Material — No Recycled Resin
We only buy virgin PVC resin from Formosa Plastics and LG Chem. ABS comes from Chi Mei. Acrylic comes from Mitsubishi cast PMMA. No recycled material in our standard product line — ever.
Why does this matter? Recycled resin has inconsistent molecular weight. It looks fine in the roll, then 6 months after installation you get brittle edges and color shift. Cheap to make, expensive for you to warranty.
If a supplier won’t tell you where their resin comes from, that’s your answer.
Color Lab — Spectrophotometer, Not Eyeballs
Cheap factories color-match by eye. We use an X-Rite Ci64 spectrophotometer and a dedicated 2-person color team. Every new color goes through:
- Master sample measurement (LAB values recorded)
- Pigment formula development
- Trial extrusion — 50m sample run
- ΔE measurement vs master — target ≤ 1.5 (industry standard is 3.0)
- Customer approval before mass production
Corona + Primer Treatment — Every Roll
Two things kill edgebanding adhesion: surface oxidation and contamination. We corona-treat every roll before winding, and apply primer coating to all PUR-grade products. Bond strength improves ~30% vs untreated banding.
Some suppliers skip this to save 2 cents per meter. You’ll pay 20× that in warranty claims later.
QC — Every 4 Hours, Every Line
Inspection isn’t once per batch. It’s every 4 hours, every line, every shift. We measure:
- Thickness tolerance (±0.05mm)
- Width tolerance (±0.3mm)
- Color ΔE vs master
- Surface gloss level
- Tensile strength (sample pull test)
- Bond test on standard particleboard
