Production Process

We have optimized and upgraded the production process, and adopted more refined and strict production links, which are more costly but can greatly improve product quality:

Granulation Link

We have an independent granulation link, which is higher in cost than the direct use of finished particles. The self-made particles have uniform composition, stable performance and no impurities, which can ensure the consistency of edge banding quality in the subsequent production process.

Four-Layer Printing

We adopt four-layer printing technology, which is higher in cost than ordinary single-layer or double-layer printing. Four-layer printing makes the pattern and color of the edge banding more three-dimensional, realistic and durable, and the color fastness is stronger, not easy to fade or peel off.

We adhere to the principle of “high-standard raw materials for high-quality products”, and select well-known brand raw materials at home and abroad to ensure the stability and reliability of product quality, with no impurities and excellent performance:

PVC Resin

We adopt brand PVC such as Xinjiang Tianye and Inner Mongolia Junzheng. These brand PVC materials are stable in quality, free of impurities, and lay a solid foundation for the excellent performance of edge banding.

Calcium Powder

The higher the mesh number of calcium powder, the finer it is. We select high-mesh calcium powder, which can effectively improve the density and toughness of edge banding, making the product quality better and more durable.

Color Powder

We use imported color powder, which has the advantages of non-fading, bright color and uniform color distribution. It can ensure that the edge banding keeps its original color for a long time, even in harsh environments such as direct sunlight.

Titanium Dioxide

We use titanium dioxide containing rutile. This type of titanium dioxide has excellent weather resistance and whiteness retention, which can ensure that the white edge banding will not turn yellow after long-term use, maintaining a clean and beautiful appearance.

DOP Oil

We select high-quality DOP oil. The edge banding produced with good DOP oil will not precipitate even under high temperature conditions, avoiding the problem of surface stickiness and affecting the use effect.

Back Glue

For back glue, we usually use JOWAT glue or Taiwan Shinmei Kwang glue when cooperating with customers. These two kinds of glue have strong adhesion and good stability, which can ensure that the edge banding is firmly bonded to the board and will not fall off during use.

Ink

We adopt water-based ink, which is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and odorless, in line with international environmental protection standards. It not only ensures the health of operators, but also meets the environmental protection requirements of global customers.

Carton Packaging

We use five-corrugated cartons for packaging. Compared with ordinary cartons, five-corrugated cartons are stronger, more compressive and wear-resistant, which can effectively protect the edge banding from damage during transportation and storage.

Common Problems & Solutions of PVC Edge Banding

We sort out the most common problems of PVC edge banding in use, and explain the causes and solutions in simple terms, helping you avoid troubles and use them with more peace of mind:

Insufficient width, thickness or length

For width and thickness, our production team measures them during and after production, and sends the data to the work group for double check. For length, we use fully automatic length measuring instruments in the production department, which ensures precise length.

White oil precipitates, making the edge banding dirty

Poor raw materials (too cheap DOP oil, which will precipitate from the product when the temperature is high).

White edge banding turns yellow

Not using titanium dioxide containing rutile. The price of ordinary titanium dioxide is half of that of rutile-containing titanium dioxide.

Thin white edge banding (0.4mm or 0.45mm) is transparent, showing the wood underneath after edging

Poor raw materials.

Edge banding is bent

Production speed is too fast, without sufficient cooling.

Whitening after trimming

Generally, trimming at a ratio of 2:1 will cause whitening; we use a 1:1 trimming ratio, so the trimmed edge is the same color as the edge banding.

Color matching is not similar

The similarity of the base material reaches 95%, and the similarity of the surface color reaches 98%.

Uneven surface embossing (both sides are not pressed) and uneven left and right

Problem with the mold.

Problems with large and small rolls

1) Insufficient length; 2) Insufficient thickness. Solution: Pack all finished rolls together uniformly after production.

Easy to break (high-gloss edge banding is more likely to break) & paint peeling

Not wiping with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and only printing 1-2 times on the surface.

Bubbles on high-gloss edge banding

The printing rollers in the factory need to be updated.
