Product Classification

To cater to the needs of different areas like furniture, cabinets and office, we divide our PVC Film into three main types. Each series is designed with different physical properties to apply to various application conditions and surfaces.

Product Classification 1: Rigid PVC Film for Flat Lamination

Overview

Rigid PVC film (“flat film”) is specially formulated for flat surface lamination. This kind of PVC Film has high hardness, low shrinkage rate, good heat resistance and scratch resistance. That would be surfaces which need a hard, rugged finish without wrapping around complex edges.

Properties

Thickness Range: from 0.12mm to 0.45mm.

Surface Finishes:High gloss, matte, soft-touch, anti-fingerprint coating.

Key Feature:Out of the ordinary dimensional stability When bonded to Mdf or particleboard with adhesive, it does not warp or blister in response to temperature changes..

Durability High UV stability, for vibrant colors, even in sun-drenched showrooms or kitchens.

Applications

Rigid PVC Film is mainly used in the furniture market for:

Kitchen Cabinet Doors: The flat panels of slab-style cabinets are made more attractive with the high-gloss finish found in acrylic or glass at a fraction of the cost.

Office Desktops: For the workstations and desks, the matte and anti-fingerprint variants deliver a professional appearance that stands up to everyday use, liquid spills, and friction.

Wardrobe Panels: Used for outer surface of wardrobes, can be customized to your own taste and demand.

Product Classification 2: Flexible PVC Film for Edge Banding

Overview

Rigid film has the property that it covers the flat surface, for Flexible PVC Film it is adapted to cover the edges for edge banding. This variant of PVC Film is softer and flexible, intended to close the raw edges of panels and to be sealed against moisture and impact while masking the surface and edge.

Properties

Thickness Range:0.4mm – 3.0mm.

Flexibility: Its high flexibility characteristic makes it a suitable material for use on rounded corners and curved edges without it cracking.

Adhesion: Developed with a unique primer layer that has been specially designed to also provide a superior adhesion with hot-melt glues (depending on the type of glue used), and which makes it ideal for use in automatic edge banding machines.

Color Matching:You can add matching solid colors and wood grain or metallic finishes to your rigid PVC laminated Film sets.

Applications

Flexible pvc film is the standard for finishing touches:

·Cabinet Seam Sealing:Kitchen and bath cabinets have to be sealed to protect them from humidity.

·Furniture Profiling:To avoid chipping and to add a smooth tactile finish, office desks and tables can be wrapped around the edges with the furniture.

·Drawer Fronts:Complete the look with an inviting and warm appearance, ensure that the edge aligns exactly with the panel surface.

Product Classification 3: Thermoforming PVC Film (3D/Wrapping Film)

Introduction

Thermoforming, or 3D wrapping film, is the ultimate PVC Film technology. This section is for membrane press and vacuum form. For manufacturers who want to wrap PVC laminate Film around profiled MDF doors and build up intricacies like shaker style cabinets, arched panels and ornate moldings.

Characteristics

Range of Thickness ? 0.30mm to 0.60mm.

Elongation:High elongation rates (commonly higher than 200%) enable the film to penetrate deeply into grooves and form over razor-sharp contours without stretching thin or tearing.

Heat Activation:Blends are formulated to be heat activated at a specific temperature (generally 120°C to 180°C) to establish a tight bond to the substrate.

Texture:Usually embossed with matching wood grain textures (EMBOSSED IN REGISTER) in which the distance of the colours is aligned with the physical texture underlay, simulating a hyper-realistic wood feel.

Applications

The most adaptable window to Use this group of complicated furniture parts is the best for: These were designed with a painting finish.

Shaped Kitchen Doors:wrapping mdf doors with complex routered designs.

Office Furniture Parts: Designing ergonomic upholstered armrests and decorative panels for the Matthews collection, known for its precious wood and complicated forms.

Bath Cabinets:Bath vanities with sculpted details made water proof.

Why Choose PVC Film for Furniture & Office?

When it comes to furniture, cabinets or office environment materials, manufacturers are frequently faced with the question: Why choose PVC Film over wood veneer or lacquer? – or – How do I sell more?

The answer is a trade-off between cost and performance.

  • Superior Moisture Resistance:Unlike wood veneer can swell or lacquer can blister, PVC Film is waterproof by nature. This is why it makes such an excellent surface for kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity prisms of humidity.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: It looks like natural wood, stone or high-gloss paint but at a fraction of the cost of material and labour.
  • Durability:Good quality PVC Film is scratch resistant, stain resistant and UV stable. This also guarantees the office furniture will look “brand new” even in high-use environments.
  • Design Flexibility:With digital printing technology,PVC Film can mimic rare wood grains, marbles, abstract motifs and solid hues phenomenally.
  • Ease of Maintenance:Areas finished with PVC Film are ‘low-maintenance’ – the finish can be restored with a simple wipe using a damp cloth and this is particularly important for hygiene in office and a residential use.

The Production Process

An insight into the production of PVC Film allows buyers to distinguish between cheap commodity films and high quality engineering films. We adhere to a strict process in our manufacturing to ensure uniformity.

Step 1: Raw Material Mixing

We begin with a quality polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC) and add non-toxic plasticizers, stabilizers, and premium pigments. For furniture uses, we never use cheap fillers (such as calcium carbonate) which bring about brittleness and color loss.

Step 2: Calendering

The blend is melted and rolled out through a number of rollers (calenders) to the desired thickness. Our state-of-the art calendering equipment allow to achieve micron accuracy on full roll width. This process governs the PVC Film thickness uniformity, essential for flat lamination without bubbles.

Step 3: Printing

We print our patterns by rotogravure (up to 6 colors). From rustic oak grain to contemporary concrete pattern, the printing layer plays a necessary role in visual realism. We use German-made inks that are UV-stable.

Step 4: Embossing

The film is embossed in order to create tactile impressions. For our premium thermoforming film products, the texture (wood pores) is synchronized with the printed design in a method we call “synchronous embossing”.

Step 5: Coating

A lacquer topcoat (either acrylic or PU) is applied to protect the printed layer. This gives scratch resistance, chemical resistance (to cleaning agents) and matt/gloss finishes.

Step 6: Slitting and Inspection

And then the large master rolls are slit into width that the customers want. Each batch is tested for shrinkage, peel strength and color uniformity through stringent quality control before packaging.
