PVC heavy material edgebanding refers to all materials that are 0.4mm to 3mm thick.

Thick edgebanding is commonly used for furniture and edged products in schools, offices, hospitals, store fittings, restaurants, and hotels because it gives a solution to high-wear environments. It also gives furniture a more up-market appearance, and 2mm or 3mm is widely used in the kitchen and bedroom trades to manufacture slab doors. It is made using flexible chemicals, making it ideal for shapework.

Luyao Group stocks a wide choice of colours and decors in 1.5mm, 2mm, and 3mm thicknesses, and can make various thicknesses upon request.

We also have some of our darker or stronger grained 2mm or 3mm thick decors in throughgrain, which means the grain runs all the way through the edge. So, when cut, it significantly improves the appearance of the edge board. This can be made in any style; for samples or more information, please contact us.

It is manufactured in one of two ways: extruded at the desired width or in bulk and slit down at the mill. Both have advantages: extrusion allows for smaller quantities of single widths ranging from 16mm to 45mm, whereas bulk allows for multi-width manufacture spanning 14mm to 400mm. This requires more total production, but it allows for customization and wider widths.

We stock all of our thick material selection in a range of widths, with every décor available in 22mm wide and many in 19mm, 28mm, 40mm, and 44mm, allowing for quick delivery to all popular board sizes.
